But since I've bought compatibles, it's never really worked properly. Some of the compatibles have worked for a while then stopped, others have just not worked straight out of the box! None of them have had very good colours. I now find myself considering having to buy the original cartridges just so I can do normal printing - not even photos or anything special. So I'm thinking of taking out that second mortgage for them. Just can't see any other way forward. It's either this or bin the printer. Customer Rating: Summary: Epson ink cartridges Comment: I have no doubt about the quality of this product, but buy this cartridge along with a colour cartridge and you will be out of pocket by a cool 50 quid, which is about the price of a decent printer. Epson and the rest are leading us up the garden path where buying ink cartridges are concerned. Do yourself a favour and buy compatible cartridges on-line at a fraction of the cost, which are just as good (trust me) as the originals, I have been using compatibles for years now, and totally refuse to buy original cartridges, I used to have a lexmark printer and i nearly had to take out a loan to pay for their cartridges. I got eleven colour and ten black cartridges chipped and ready to use for about 33 pounds, compare that to the price of one new black cartridge. Rip off Britain strikes again.
