Summary: Targus Wireless Mini Mouse
Comment: I had the mouse for only about 3 months before it gave up the ghost entirely due to advanced corrosion of the mouse battery terminals. The receiver USB male connector also corroded. Admittedly the mouse spent 3/4 of it's short life in Lagos, Nigeria where the climate is hot and humid but most of that time it was used in an air conditioned environment. In addition battery life was pretty poor. On the plus side the mouse is compact enough to suit any laptop case. Not recommended.

Comment: Using a mouse with a cable is always a problem with a laptop. This is becuase there is always insufficient space to keep the mouse and the cable keeps on falling off the small table. This drags the mouse and prevents finer movements of the mouse. Some of the wireless mice are designed for the desktop so they are quite bulky. Some are associated with a keyboard. I decided to try the Targus Wireless mouse Model PAUM006E. First thing that struck me that it did not require a special driver. Secondly it is very small and manageable. It is supplied with an extension if the USB port is on the back of the computer. I use it regularly and I am very very pleased with it. Only snag is that it requires two AAA batteries which do get used up pretty quickly depending upon the amount use made of the mouse. Definitely recommended.
