Summary: Simple and effective
Comment: I need to share my home printer between my home computer and the work laptop that I regularly connect. I was worried about the constant plugging and unplugging of USB leads round the back of the printer.

This device has solved this problem totally.

The device is self powered and, after a couple of minutes with the installation CD, works immediatley. You have a new icon on your taskbar that, when you right click on it, allows you to take control of the device.

In my case, I have a printer with a built in SD slot that can also be seen as an external drive on my computer - the switch also copes with this and, indeed, it is now a really fast way of moving files between the two machines as it can act as a swtichable shared drive.

I don't think you can lose buying this. Just remember that you will also need to buy an extra USB A-B lead as you now have two computers connecting to the device.

Comment: Purchased along with 3 Belkin Gold Series Hi-Speed 2.0 USB cables and a Canon PIXMA iP1500 printer for use with an old desktop running Windows 98 (Not SE) and a laptop running Windows XP. The whole system installed without any problems at all and works perfectly, which was a bit of a surprise as I took a chance with the switch which recommends a minimum of Windows 98SE upwards. The prices charged by Amazon are excellent, as was the service.
