I've used this for maybe 2 years on machines running both 2000 and XP. Installs itself without problems, and all works fine once there. Nice solid bit of kit, and with power supply.
The 2 upright sockets are handy for cameras etc. i've 4 or 5 things plugged into the back and am alsways sticking things in and out of the top sockets.

Having to temporarily suffer Vista while waiting for my new Mac I can only say that the PC is probably the problem!! I have been using my Belkin hub with Mac OS X for 4 trouble free years on both iBooks and a G4. It simply works! Moral of the story is buy a Mac :-)
