Summary: Compulsory tool for professionals
Comment: I work as car designer and bought this incredible piece of help for my home computer. Long time i was struggling on my PC working on the Photoshop with the mouse (i am even left handed) so, as soon as i got this stuff my work became far superior to what it used to be. I already had a good level using the graphic programs, but the tablet is a completely different world.
For professionals using it mainly for Design, Illustrtion, Arts, this is the best you can get! I HIGHLY recommend this tablet to anyone who works as a professional in the arts and design. However, if you're just free time ethusiasist you do not need to pay all the money for this one. You can purchase yourself one of the cheaper semi-professional gadgets from wacom. The graphire from intuos is perfect for home use.
I rate this device 5 stars, as this is only thing that can translate the talent and the work of a professional on the PC. I recommend it even if it would be twice the price!

Summary: More of the ecstacy and less of the agony
Comment: I bought this tablet and pen set a few days ago now and already I can tell it is going to make my artwork so much more pleasurable. I'm working on a picture that I have had sketched out for years but never had the energy to complete on paper because of the complexity. I'm using the tablet with adobe photoshop - and pretty much using it to draw and paint as I would normally with pen and paper. Its very easy to pick up and after a very short time it feels very natural. The controls are very responsive, the pen easy to hold and use. This size of tablet is just right if your into free-hand drawing and painting. I absolutely love it, and although its expensive I consider this to be the best purcahse I made have from Amazon in a long time.

Summary: Fits like a glove...
Comment: This is the best size to get a wacom tablet in, it's not too small that it becomes confusing when painting, yet not too big that it takes up a lot of space. It fits neatly onto my drawing board. I use it with Photoshop and that works nicely, I'll soon be using it with Painter. Easy intallation (don't lose that CD with the drivers), works on my desktop with 2 monitors and when I transfer it to my laptop it works just as well. The strip bar and keys are great, but dependent on which hand you use, one side may become redundant. Other than that, I love it to bits, only thing that would be better would be one of those Wacom Cintiq 21UXs, but who can afford that?!]

Summary: A tablet.
Comment: I bought this over a year ago now. I'm extremely happy with it, I've not had a single problem, unlike graphics tablets I've had in the past.
There are a few features that make this stand out.
On painter when you tilt the pen and say your using the air brush you will get a spray angle that mimic the angle of the tilt.(also in Photoshop) As you rotate the pen the style of the brush stroke changes.
which can be customised in programs like Photoshop and painter, This can be extremely useful when you want to change your style during digital painting.
There aren't any other graphics tablets out there that do this at the moment.
There are also a few other things that i quite like about it.
it feels like a pen for a start, it has some weight to it and the drawing surface isn't a horrible plastic like most. The nibs can be changed to give different drawing feels. Its very well built and robust and the covers don't move around. It has a touch scroll feature. That's fantastic as long as you disable the one next to the hand your using so you don't zoom in by mistake when painting.
However if your wanting to do photo manipulation or photo editing you maybe better off going with the intuos 2 or an older model, because a lot of the features maybe wasted.

So after thoughts on the product.
It has everything you could want and maybe more. Award winning service and it will probably outlast me.
The only problem i've found is replacement pieces like the pen look expensive. So don't lose it. All it needs is a coffee cup holder so that siblings don't put things on it's surface grrr!

Summary: Excellent, bar a few minor niggles
Comment: Before buying one of these I struggled with a mouse to do photo editing in Photoshop, which is a royal pain as anyone who has tried it will know. I wasn't sure how easy it would be to draw on my desk while watching my screen and seriously considering dropping a wedge of cash on the Cintiq with it's built-in screen.

In the end I'm glad I went for this - it really doesn't take long to get to grips with it and being able to associate the pen pressure and tilt with things like brush sizes and colours makes such a huge difference it's hard to put it into words. The buttons and finger-strip on both sides of the tablet can be customised to do whatever you want, so I use the finger-strip to zoom so I can move in and out of the picture without selecting and re-selecting my tools.

The only minor niggles are that the driver software sometimes gets confused when I load Netscape and interprets the finger strip as wanting to zoom the font size rather than pan down the page and I personally find the buttons on the side of the supplied mouse irritating, although in fairness I didn't buy it for the mouse.

I can't honestly give this 5 out of 5, but if 4.5 was an option I'd have gone for that. Despite the niggles I have no regrets whatsoever about buying one.
