Customer Rating: Summary: What a brilliant little box Comment: I'm not big on raving about equipment, but you will forgive me for doing so about this one. I run a small mail order company & got fed up with feeding labels into my printer. I put off getting a label writer until my old printer bit the bullet & I was forced into it.
Originally I was getting the Dymo, but on trying to order it was informed that there had been a number of reliability issues recently, would I like to try the Brother instead? I'm so glad I did as I'm chuffed to bits with it! It's a brilliant little box which sits on my mailing table & spits out the labels required with no fuss whatsoever.
I was concerned that it wouldn't work with Quickbooks, but the cut & paste facility gets around that easily.
I have customised my labels too which saves me hours of stamping all the envelopes with the return address.
I wish I'd bought one years ago - it would have saved loads of time & aggro.
If you label anything (bar codes, stock, addresses, etc.), then this is definitely worth considering.
Customer Rating: Summary: Terribly inflexible Comment: Works well if and only if you want to print on the small range of paper sizes that Brother make available. Your options are 29mm high or 62mm high (with one exception, see later). If you are trying to use Royal Mail SmartStamp, avoid this machine like the plague. SmartStamp needs a minimum height of 38mm. 62mm is far too wide for a stamp. There are 38mm x 90mm stickers which aren't large enough to print any logos or return addresses. If there was a 38mm continuous tape available (like there are for 29mm and 62mm) it would be ideal, but without that simple thing, this machine is useless to me
Customer Rating: Summary: Super label printer Comment: I use one of these at my office and at home and I find them an invaluable tool. No more problems with trying to feed envelopes through your printer instead just print a label.
The software supplied integrates with Microsoft Office and therefore you can either print by highlighting text in Word, highlighting cells in Excel or by highlighting a contact in Outlook.
Easy to use and gives correspondence that professional look.
