Jabra BT250v Bluetooth Headset User Reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: pretty darn good Comment: Bought mine quite a while ago now it has to be said. And in all fairness its never put a foot wrong. Im not a massive user of it, but as a result it seems i never have to charge it, it lasts forever. And even if you are getting close to a charge it gives you plenty of warning with inconspicuous beeps, ever increasing in volume and regularity when your nearing the end. The clarity is great and ive never had a problem with range, the microphone is great, even with the window open it doesnt seem to struggle. The earpiece design is comfortable and theres no chance of it coming loose, no matter how vigorous the disagreement!
I just think now its come a time when id like a smaller one, im thinking of staying witht he brand as ive been so impressed and going with the BT8040 i think Customer Rating: Summary: Rubbish Comment: I don't understand how this product can be so bad. Over the past 5 or 6 years I've had 2 other similar headsets from Jabra and both were great. Really clear, stood up to all kinds of abuse and if I hadn't lost them would probably be going still.
I expected this newer model to surpass the earlier incarnations. True the battery life is twice as long as my previous Jabra headset, but the mic quality is awful. Everyone I speak to complains that it sounds really distant and echo's.
I've perservered for a while but recently found the older version I had and so have been able to conduct back to back tests using the same mobile and calling the same person. The 250v is a major letdown. Customer Rating: Summary: Let me down big time. Comment: It worked for few months but recently started giving problems. Does not stay connected to my phone for even few minutes. I tried with other phones and same result. The voice quality is very poor. I am waiting for the customer service to respond. I will have to look for some other brand. Customer Rating: Summary: its PANTS Comment: I have never witten a complaint about anything before.
Thats how cross I am with this thing.
To say I am disappointed is an understatment.
This device is close to useless.
I had a Plantronics M3000 for almost FIVE years.
Not a single problem except its a bit heavy and a bit susceptible to wind if outside.
I was able to leave the phone upstairs and still talk and hear clearly whilst down in the kithen - through several brick walls.
I thought I'd treat myself to a nice new comfy one and read the reviews on this page.
I thought the people complaining must have done something wrong.
However, it is clear that those people didn't do anything wrong and they were exactly right.
The Jabra BT250V loses connectivity even if i turn my head away from the phone.
From 2 metres away (in line of site) it is crackly and impossible to hear. Turn your head or close a door and it disconnects altogether.
If there was a negative score possible I would rate it at that.
Unfit for purpose.
Under no circustmances buy this.
Not even for its (allegedly) cool looks
Get a Plantronics M3000, put up with its old fashioned size and see what "10m range" really means. Customer Rating: Summary: Could be worse Comment: Ive had o2's own headset for about 2 years now, which cost me £12 (Had to replace it as it didnt like my N95). Compared to that, this headset is so poor!
Ive used it for a couple of weeks now quite a bit and ive found the sound quality to be quite poor. I read some of the other reviews on here before i bought it and i hoped it would be alright, its not. You have to keep it pretty close to your phone and the quality still isn't very good. The range is about 2 meters tops in direct sight and it gets pretty crackely!
For what im going to be using it for (a couple of times a week and the odd long journey) its fine, but i would not buy this product again and i dont reccomend it.
Oh, and ive already lost one of the bud's that come with it. lucky we get 4!
On the plus side, it does look good and its very comfy on the ear and fits very well. Connects no problem and reconnects when you go out of range.
