Epson Stylus D68 Photo Edition Colour Inkjet Printer User Reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Nice little printer Comment: I have a technophobe mother who needs to print easily and quickly. (Usually when she's printing a letter at the last minute!) This printer is perfect for plug and play simplicity. I haven't heard one complaint yet so it must be doing its job well. I think the ink is fairly reasonable in price too. Customer Rating: Summary: Awful! Comment: This is the first and only Epson product I'll ever buy; it's that bad. Why? From a cold start the Epson D68 takes about a minute of preparation before it even begins to print a document, and when it does print it's noisy, very noisy. It uses so much ink that I'm forever having to replace the cartridges (roughly 100 short, single sided letters in draft quality and the black ink has gone). And the software is so unfriendly I'm never certain of just how my printing will emerge (Portrait? Landscape?). Please don't waste your money. Customer Rating: Summary: Ink Thirsty Comment: I have no problems with the price or quality on this machine but I find myself actively avoiding using it because it cost too much to keep the machine in ink. I cannot remember the last time that a print job was sent without me having to acknowledge the annoying pop-up window telling me that one or more of the ink cartridges are low or out of ink. Previous inkjet printers I have owned have owned have never consumed so much. Customer Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT VALUE! Comment: Excellent value for this printer which does the job perfectly!! What more could you ask for? Plus its built by a good make company! Customer Rating: Summary: Fabulous low-cost printer Comment: This printer is a little gem. I've used it for printing about a dozen A4, full-colour photos so far, and the print quality is outstanding - indistinguishable from a photo lab. It's slow on full colour, but so what? The cartidges are cheap, and it's only used less than a quarter of a tank of each ink after 12 A4 prints. I reckon fifty A4 photos for £17 of ink is a bargain.
