Canon Pixma MP150 All in One Photo Printer, Scanner and Copier User Reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: OK but one major flaw Comment: I bought this printer and it worked really well for the first 18 months. However, it then stopped working for no apparent reason claiming a problem with a paper jam. Further investigation by my local printer experts discovered that a key part of the printer had broken and it would be cheaper to buy a new printer than replace it. I can still use it as a scanner and find that works well. A good basic printer but a very short life expectancy. Customer Rating: Summary: Good quality printer for a good price Comment: I've had this printer for around 18months now, and I've not had any major problems with it. Everyone is saying how you can't buy replica ink cartridges for it...all you have to do is pop into your local Cartridge World (or any shop that re-fills cartridges) and you can have both cartridges refilled for around £18. 9 times out of 10 you get more ink in your refilled cartridge than what you'd get in a brand new one. I've done this many times and had no problems, other than the printer doesn't realise that they are full cartridges, so will flash the 'low ink' lights at you. Customer Rating: Summary: Neat Comment: Neat, handy, reliable, simple and very convenient! Have now had this printer for just over a year, and no problems whatsoever!! I have previously been reluctant to buy multi-functional gizmos, fearing that they may be a bit too complex for their own good, but this gadget has proved my doubts totally unfounded! Straighforward setup, easy syncing, and good quality results. Customer Rating: Summary: No problems - better than my Epson Comment: I have been using this machine for about a year - It was easy to set up and use - very handy for photocpying - Scanning is quiet - I tend to use the high yeild ink and seems to last longer than my previous Epson and is cheaper overall. We have printed mix of greyscale and colour documents - and occaisonal photos - I have no complaints about the quality which I tend to vary between high and medium depending on the material. The printing it self is quieter and faster. For home use at this cost of less than (...), I would have expected much less. Customer Rating: Summary: nice machine shame about the ink Comment: I needed to buy a scanner to help the kids with their school work. So when my old Epson printer needed new ink thats when I bought the Canon. Generally I'm very pleased with it. It's well made, a bit big, but solid. Sometimes it's a little confusing to work with, such as when you scan a letter, which file does it get stored in and when printing, it's slow to start and you wonder if you've pressed the right button. However the worst point is the ink, it is saying ink low after only 7 weeks of light use..this will cost at least £30 - which seems to be the standard price these days, but my old Epson used to last 4-6 months. This is a shame, we have a HP printer at work and it is used daily, but again the ink lasts for months. I would consider it cheaper dumping this machine and looking else where on ink cost alone if it doesn't improve
