Summary: Oh, the postage!
Comment: My brother recently got a Pixma 6600D and asked me to order a set of 6 carts. Having an account with Amazon I thought these were a good price but ouch - the postage ended up MORE than the price of the cartridges.
OK, I should have checked before clicking confirm but when postage on a small package tends to be a few pounds I expected something below a fiver.
Having had a heart attack I would feel guilty passing on the postage cost in full so I shall now end up out of pocket thanks to the unclear cost.

Summary: CLI-8 BK/C/M/Y + GlossyPaper 10x15 50sh
Comment: Ordered this item, waited 2 weeks for delivery then they cancelled my order because they say they are out of stock. Looked up this item again and there web page says in stock the only differance is the price is £2 higher.
Not up to Amazon standard and supprised they use them.

Summary: don't blame the postage on the sellers
Comment: Just thought I would make the point to those of you who do not sell stuff on Amazon that the postage charges of the various items eg in this cage ink cartridges are imposed on you by Amazon and not alterable. That is why many sellers (including me) are selling their cartridges for 1p as we know and agree the postage is ridiculously high.

Summary: Stick With The Canon Originals But Dont Get Ripped Off On P&P
Comment:
I have tried compatible cartridges on my Canon pixma IP4300 and I can't be bothered with having to swap the chips off the original Canon cartridges and then clipping it on to the compatible, just to find the the bloody thing won't work. Stick to the Canon original cartridges for a stress free life of printing. Some people on Amazon have also had the same problem as myself when it comes to companies offering a really cheap price on the net, but when it comes to the delivery charges (£4.50) WHAT!!!!!, really you and I know that a ink cartridge can be sent though the post for about £1.00. Do these companies really think that they can reel us in with what looks like a really cheap price for a cartridge that cost £4 - £5 less than on the high street and then make a huge profit on a unrealistic delivery charge. I have found a company called advantage online who sell a original Canon PGI-5 black for £9.99 and a full set of the CLI-8 cartridges for £34.98, which is a good price, but the best bit is that they don't charge delivery and its all sent first class royal mail. I have used them now on three different occasions have have been more that happy with the
