Customer Rating: Summary: Canon PIXMA MP630 All-in-One Printer, Copier and Scanner Comment: Fantastic product for a fantastic price. Very easy to set up. Takes 5 ink cartridges and, best of all, it has the facility to print on to printable CDs, DVDs and BDs.
Customer Rating: Summary: Canon Quality printing on the cheap Comment: After five years of a Canon Pixma MP750, which finally reached the end of its economic life, I was looking for a modern replacement that had the same facilities, but would serve my faithful HP Pavilion PC and a new Meridian laptop. The MP750 was quite expensive, but I was really looking for a cheaper replacement. The MP630 prints discs, copies documents & photos, duplex prints, and has two paper trays. The print quality is excellent, and ink usage modest (if you use the various print quality settings sensibly). Switching the paper between the two feeds was a bit fiddly ( unlike the MP750), but that is a small price to pay for an exceptional machine which is reasonably priced. The MP630 is not wi-fi enabled (I wasn't prepared to pay the heavy premium for wi-fi), but by networking the laptop to the HP Pavilion, I am able to print from the laptop without any leads. All in all, a very satisfying purchase.
Customer Rating: Summary: First impressions Comment: I had a CX3200 Epson all in one for three years and it was very good. When it died I bought another Epson which unfortunately failed and had to be returned. It's printing was good but it was very noisy and seemed to go through the ink very quickly and I felt very bullied by the constant warnings against using non genuine ink. I paid nearly twice as much for his delightfully quiet Canon. It's printing is supberb really nearly laser quality. I bought it because it claims to be much to be more economical with the ink and it appears so far to be fulfilling this promise. I find the draft version of print perfectly adequate for ordinary documents not intended for presentation. I haven't found out yet if it will bully and threaten me if I use non genuine ink.
It's very neat in appearance and the controls are reasonably easy to get the hang of for an elderly non computer literate user.
Customer Rating: Summary: printer and photos Comment: I bought this printer primarily to print photos and I was very pleased with the quality it produces.
Some of the instructions are not as intuitive as I had hoped, the HP Printer I had previously was easier to navigate, however this machine is more versatile and a huge benefit is the lower price of inks and you only need to replace the colour which runs out.
Customer Rating: Summary: A Great, High Quality All-in-One Printer, Copier & Scanner Comment: This is a great, high quality, all-in-one printer, copier, scannner from the PIXMA MP range by Canon. Easy and quick to set up, no issues whatsoever; about 15mins - I was being ultra careful with installing the inks. Just one point to note, although there is a Bluetooth logo on the box the printer does not have Bluetooth integrated, a Bluetooth print server is required for this. If you need a wireless printer go for the Canon PIXMA MP640.
Produces high quality prints, well worth the price tag compared to other all-in-one printers in the same range.
