Comment: Once out of the box it was straight forward to insert the ink cartridges & power cable.

I was disapointed that the power cable was short between the plug & transfomer, it's flimsy compared to the last HP printer lead I had.

It workes well as a wireless printer, once my firewall settings had been changed.

overall 7/10.

I have yet to try the ink cartridges I bought in addition.

Summary: HP 4780 - tricky set up - good wireless printer
Comment: Had the C4780 for a few months now. Looked at other brands but the HP is by far the smallest & neatest on the market. Had read reports of problems setting up the software for it and they weren't kidding. Always got close to finishing the install then it would stall because of a conflict with my AV sotfware (even when I turned it off as they recommended). Finally after I completely de-installed AV program it ran a treat. Then I was able to re-instal AV afterwards. Tried the same method on laptop No.2 and it was doddle. No probs finding router etc. Connected wirelessy with no problems. Prints better than my last HP printer, but cartidges don't seem to last very long - have bought high capacity replacements.

Summary: Easy, Easy and yes, easy. Prints well too.
Comment: I sometimes can't believe how cheap good printers are these days, and with wireless built as well is just incredible. So simple to install. Insert CD, select install and follow prompts. That simple. The printer takes the wireless settings (SSID, user name and password) from your computer to configure itself. Once complete, the printer is available wirelessly. Printer quality is actually pretty good for a printer this cheap. Lets face it, for £50 you are not going to get amazing print quality, but it is good. Perfect for simple home use.

Comment: I have a Windows PC and a Macbook. It took me about 30m to have it setup in both machines and it was all about following wizards.

The print quality is quite good for a home device.

The simple fact that you can print and scan over the air is worth the money.
