Canon PIXMA MP270 Multifunction Printer (Print, Scan, Copy) User Reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: A good money maker for Canon Comment: The printer looks attractive and is relatively easy to install. Although I had a problem with one of my computers going offline as I installed the software. I am rather shocked however after printing just 20 full colour A4 sheets of paper the light on the colour cartridge lit up indicating that it needed replacing and at around £20 a throw for a genuine Canon cartridge it is a nice little earner for those nice people at Canon. The printer itself can be purchased for under £50 so I consider the price of cartridges at just under half of the price of the printer rather too expensive. I might yet get rid of it. But it does produce some nice prints. But Canon have got to do something about those ink proces. They are just silly. Customer Rating: Summary: Value for money printer Comment: I am very satisfied with my new printer. Prints faster than previous machine (HP930). I wanted a multifunction machine to scan photos to go on to a digital photoframe and to occasionally photocopy documents (in addition to printing). Works a treat. Customer Rating: Summary: Canon Pixima MP270 Comment: The printer /scanner/copier is a very useful piece of equipment which I use very often . It is priced fairly and for someone like me it adequately meets my needs. The only down side to the printer is the cost of the ink which I think is too expensive. Customer Rating: Summary: Scanning takes forever Comment: The foorptint is surprisingly big, and it clanks and spits and farts, though I can stand that up to a point. The printing is fine - no compaints with quality or speed. Where it falls down is on scanning. It takes forever. I am an ebay seller and frquently scan 20 to 30 pictures in one sitting. I can't afford the time that it takes on this machine. I am very disappointed and wish I had bought something else. My previous Dell machine was very cheap but was superior to this. Customer Rating: Summary: Fast printer but paper feed is worrying... Comment: Overall this printer is excellent albeit being a little bulky. Also, sometimes it seems to have a problem with the paper feed as in it can't actually 'grab' onto the paper and pull it down to be printed and then the printer starts making printing noises which worries me that ink is being wasted. I used to have a Lexmark which did the same thing and when you opened up the printer, you could see lots of wasted ink.
