Customer Rating: Summary: Really good printer Comment: I used to own an Epson Dx4000 which was starting to show it's age so I (after the usual faffing around) chose this printer. I am so glad I did.
Wireless set up really easy even for a luddite like myself.
Print quality is very good indeed and the photos look like commercial quality (using canon photo paper), prints are very fast too and dont seem (so far) to be overly ink hungry.
No complaints whatsover and would definitely buy canon again.
Customer Rating: Summary: canon mp560 Comment: The important things about this printer are- works perfect with vista premium, wifi is a doddle, so dont get the usb bundle, a full set of ink cartridges comes with it (get replacement copy versions elsewhere), and the quality is spot on.
The A4 paper tray is built in underneath, so you dont have to have paper showing all the time, the front door opens itself when a print is coming out, there is a seperate tray at the rear for photo paper, and a nice little lcd screen to change any settings.
The installation took about half an hour including setting the wifi up and the print head alignment, which is very trick- the printed test page is placed back on the scanner at the top of the printer, and it reads the image and sets the heads accordingly, you dont have to do a thing.
Perfect.
And it costs £50 quid more in comet and currys.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great bit of kit! Works well with network which includes both pc's and macs. Comment: Very good quality photo printing (I have only printed on canon brand photo paper though so cannot vouch for results on third party branded paper). Much truer colours than when I've printed from self service machines at boots.
Scanner and printer functions also excellent. I have two pcs and two Macbooks on my home network and set up was fairly straight-forward (a little bit more fiddly with the Macs than the pc's though) but once complete, wireless network works seamlessly so I can print from anywhere in the house.
Customer Rating: Summary: I love it! Comment: After years of using the local library's printer and scanner, i finally decided to purchase an all in one printer. I looked around for all the brands, read a lot of reviews and the conclusion was that the HP ones are a tad cheaper but the canon's have a better quality and they were right. i have been using it for months and i am genuinly happy with it.
i wanted a good colour printer and scanner with WiFi and with this, I also got an amazing Photo printer!!! it came with a few photo papers and when i printed them, i couldnt believe the quality of the photos. though the ink is a bit pricy so i wont be printing many of them, but it's good to have it around.
Pros:
Ellegant looking
Amazing photo printing quality
Very good quality prints
great scanner
easy to use menu + great controlls
easy to set up ( took me less than 2 mins)
print directly from USB stick/camera/phone
WiFi is a great addition as I have two laptops and I dont need to connect them to use the printer/scanner
Cons:
I have to say there is nothing i can complain about, but i can say:
colours on normal paper loooks a bit lighter than they should be (not that noticable, you have to be exteremly fussy to notice it, and even then it's not really a problem)
not the quickest in the world
other points to mention...
the software that comes with it, is also very easy to install and use. and it includes some useful utilities such as, ink monitoring and wireless performance tests.
in conclusion, I highly recommend this to anyone who wants an all in one. even if it means you have to spend a bit more. and if you dont need the wifi, you can buy the mp550 model which is also available on amazon and is a bit cheaper. last but not leaset, great service and price from amazon.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Printer Great Price Comment: I find the photo print quality to be extremely good for a printer at this price. And it seems to use the ink very efficiently as I have been using it quiet heavily without running low in any colour.
It prints text documents beautifully too, though it's not particularly quick, meaning that it's suitable for home office use but would not be practical in a heavy use environment.
Set up with my macbook pro was relatively straightforward and once installed the printer is very intuitive to use.
For my purposes, namely photo printing and occasional home office use, this printer proven to be a very good choice.
